💃 Dancing for Hearts – Donate to Save Lives ❤️

Welcome to our donation page for Hearts on the Dancefloor, a heartfelt initiative inspired by courage, community, and the power of music to bring people together for a cause that touches us all—heart health.

On Friday 5th September 2025, we’re hosting a Charity Dinner & Dance at Leicester Railwaymens Club to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation. This event is more than just a night out—it’s a celebration of life, love, and the everyday heroes among us.

🫀 Why We Dance

Heart disease affects millions of people every year. Many of us have felt its impact—whether through a loved one, a friend, or someone in our community. That’s why we’re coming together to raise awareness and funds for life-saving research, education, and support.

This event is especially close to our hearts because of Helder Barroso, a dear friend and local hero who saved a his best friend's life by performing CPR. His quick thinking and bravery gave someone a second chance—and now, he’s running the London Marathon to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

Helder’s story reminds us that we all have the power to make a difference. You can read more about his incredible act of heroism in this BBC article.

💓 Two Ways to Support

We’ve created two donation options so you can choose how you’d like to contribute:

Donate to Hearts on the Dancefloor
– The Event Fund

If you can’t attend the event but still want to support, this is your chance to contribute to our collective fundraising goal. All proceeds go to the British Heart Foundation.

Your donation helps us maximize the amount we can give to the charity. Whether it’s £5 or £50, every bit helps.

Donate to Helder’s Marathon Fundraiser

Helder is running the London Marathon to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Every step he takes is for those who’ve battled heart disease and for those who still can.

Your donation will go directly to Helder’s campaign, supporting heart research, CPR training, and resources that save lives every day.
